Title 11: Adult Education and LiteracyContact Information:
Kathy Lively, Associate Dean of Adult Basic/Secondary Education represents adult education and literacy for both planning councils within WIA 25. Selected by the adult education providers in the area, she communicates monthly with each adult education provider within WIA 25 concerning WIA issues. Those programs include:
All programs provide free educational and career services to adults in the WIA without secondary completions or possessing functional levels at or below 12.9 grade reading and/or math levels. Services include: basic reading and math classes, one-to-one and small group tutoring, family literacy activities, parenting classes, GED preparation, English as a Second Language services, Employability Skills, Work Keys preparation, Correctional Officer Preparation, high school credit, Cooperative Vocational Education, and career and post secondary education guidance services. |
