SIWIB Board Overview
The Southern Illinois Workforce Investment Board (SIWIB) is responsible for workforce development efforts in five major counties in southern Illinois: Williamson, Jefferson, Jackson, Perry and Franklin.
According to more than 100 business and economic leaders in southern Illinois,
workforce development is the number one priority associated with future economic development efforts in southern Illinois.
The SIWIB is made up of members from five counties representing business, labor, education and other entities who have a keen interest in improving workforce development efforts in the region. Contact our board members.
Board Vision
Citizens and employers of Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Perry, and Williamson counties in southern Illinois will have access to and be part of the foremost workforce development system in the Midwest.
Board Mission
The SIWIB serves as the premier source for information about and access to the array of workforce development programs and services offered for citizens and employers in Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Perry, and Williamson Counties in southern Illinois. To that end, the Board makes an unswerving commitment to meet the workforce development needs of all youth and adults in the region as well as the training and retraining needs of the southern Illinois business community.
